Demix is built to work entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or sell personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking.

Your audio never leaves your device

The songs you record or import, the separated stems, the transcribed notes, and the detected lyrics are all processed locally on your device. The AI models that separate and transcribe the music run on your iPhone or iPad. None of your audio or its analysis is sent to us or to any server.

What Demix stores, and where

Your analysed projects (the separated audio and transcribed notes / lyrics)
The AI models and instrument sound fonts Demix downloads (see below)
Your in-app settings

All of this is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. Deleting the app removes it.

Network use

Demix connects to the internet only for two things, neither of which involves personal data:

Downloading the AI models and sound fonts on first use, from a static file host. These are ordinary, anonymous file downloads. Demix does not send any account, identifier, or information about you or your music.
In-app purchase (the optional one-time “Demix Pro” unlock), which is handled entirely by Apple's App Store / StoreKit. Apple processes the payment; Demix only receives whether you own the unlock, never your name, payment details, or Apple ID.

Sharing & export

When you export a MIDI or project file, sharing happens only through your device's own share sheet, and only when you initiate it. Demix does not upload your exports anywhere.

Children

Demix is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and post the revised version on this page.
